Just to say...

a heartfelt thank you to my lovely friends who have sent lovely messages and cards or emails and e-cards, they all really mean a lot and I know I am surrounded by lovely, special people who care. I consider myself very lucky and honoured to have you xxx

Although today is my birthday, I have chosen not to celebrate it today. I do not feel that I can open my cards and place them on display alongside all the sympathy cards that we have received. But I will open them at a later date and enjoy them and display them, I hope those of you who kindly sent them do not mind.Thank you very much for them xxx

I did however go out with my wonderful Mum and Sister and had a cream tea in the countryside today and it was so nice sitting out in the sunshine. When I came home there was a card from the postman and I had to go and collect a parcel. Look at these beautiful sunflowers, so sunny and gorgeous and sent from my lovely friend Zoe, thank you so much Hun xxx

MME...Follow Your Heart...Be Happy!

Just when I thought I couldn't love a paper range more, I cracked open the 'Be Happy' papers from the same 'Follow Your Heart' collection by My Minds Eye. This range is pink and more girly based and I am 100% in LOVE with the soft, delicate colours and pretty pictures. I am DEF going to have to get me some more!

My scrummy new niece graces this layout, she is just a little living dolly, so adorable. I took this photo of her all snuggled up in her Mummy's arms when she was just a few days old.

I cut out a few of the pretty hexagons from the 'Pink Honey' sheet, gently inked the edges and then stuck some flat to the layout and others I raised on foam pads. I cut some other hexagons down for the bunting and die cut Maddie's name using sizzlit alpha 'Script'.

I finished the page off with some citrine flat backed crystals, popped in the centre of a few flowers. Love, LOVE these papers. So very easy to work with and just so very pretty ( of course it helps when you have a lovely little person in the photo too ;) )

If you have got some of these gorgeous papers, I would love to see what you do with them. Leave me a link and I will come and see :)

Follow your heart!

A few weeks ago, when these lush papers hit the UK, I just HAD to have them and made a couple of layouts straight away. Now I LOVE most of the more recent MME ( My Minds Eye) papers and these are definately no exception. The Follow Your Heart ranges come in 2 colourways, the blue range is called 'Be Amazing' and the pink range is 'Be Happy'. I love them both and really enjoyed scrapping with them.

This is my layout using some of the 'Be Amazing' range. The pics were taken in Sept last year, on our 19th wedding anniversary ( I met Dale on his dinner break from work and we had a picnic by the local pond ;) )

The sheet of 'Honey Blue' paper in the range is covered in beautiful hexagons of various colours and patterns. Rather than use them all as whole hexagons I thought I would partially pop them behind the centre circle of the layout to create a different border. I even used the cut off strip ( turq) that you normally throw away ( it has the manufacturer and paper name on the back)

And the teeny little banner that says Follow Your Heart was on the same throw away strip! Too nice not to use eh :)
Then I just added a few pearls, some garden twine and punched some butterflies with a Martha Stewart punch.
I LLLLOOOVVVEEE these papers....have I already mentioned that???
I will blog my pink page in my next post.

Thanks for looking, have a super Sunday...xxxxx

Lifting myself! G is for Glitter...

Here is my DT scraplift for March ( it felt a bit odd lifting myself LOL). I just ADORE these lush papers from BoBunny, they are from the Snowfall collection are are so, so pretty. The glittered designs and colours are completely lush and with a bit of fussy cutting and the addition of a few blossoms and some extra glittering I hope I have done the papers justice.

The photo is of Lauren,, taken in last years snow that we had in January.

Here are a couple or so close ups :)
The hydrangeas are velvet and made by Petaloo.

The Bo Bunny papers have some beautiful patterns and elements on them and rather than use whole sheets I picked out and cut a few bits and peices from them. Extra glitter and sparkle was added using Stickles and other glitter glues.

We look forward to seeing your entries in this months challenge over at Scrapology, where the theme is G is for Glitter and there is a sketch to work from.
Once again there is a fabulous prize, very kindly donated by Jill of Cardinal Colours.

Come on ladies, shake ya glitter!

G is for Glitter.....March at Scrapology

A couple or so months ago I made this layout at our monthly crop and I am thrilled and honoured to say that Lynn and Linda asked for it to be used for the March challenge at Scrapology .
I used papers from the beautiful and vibrant 'Garden Girl' range from Bo Bunny, a sheet of Bazzill Bling " Sugar Daddy" and a tube of Magenta Stickles.

so....this month the challenge is G is for Glitter :)

The theme of the Garden Girl papers is based on Friendship and I just knew straight away what photo I was going to scrap. This is me with my very best friend in the world, Sue. I love this girly to bits, we share laughter and tears ( and stash lol) and although we don't talk every day....sometimes a week may even pass with a chat.... we both know that the other one is always there for the other and would do anything for them....she is like a sister to me xxx

I cut out and layered a few bits and bobs from the papers and added lots and lots of pretty Magenta Stickles....you can NEVER have too much sparkle on a page and Stickles come in such a beautiful array of colours.

Talking of Stickles, once again this month our lovely friend Jill of Cardinal Colours has very generously supplied a fab prize for the challenge....she has donated 10!....yes 10!! bottles of Stickles in a range of gorgeous colours. Thank you so much Jill.
If you pop over to the Scrapology blog you will be able to see the stunning layouts that the DT have created once again this month.
We would love to see you join in the challenge :)
