Truly Beautiful!

Well I think she is anyway...and I know I am biased!
We had a little stylin' session one afternoon and Chloe wanted her hair put into ringlets if possible....she sure looked cute, so we shot outside for a little photo shoot.
I thought the photos would work on these lush papers by Bo Bunny ( I just ADORE BoBunny.....I may have mentioned that in the past???LOL)

These papers are from the Peacock Lane Collection and are just sooooo delicious
! I have used 1 sheet each of Peacock Lane, Dot and Tweet...and with a little bit of cutting out, some punching ,a little sewing and a sprinkling of gems I ended up with this :)

I LOVE it....and so does my little Curly Wurly Princess!!!

Warmest wishes Anita..xxx

Sunday 26th Sept!....Happy 18th Anniversary.......

to you...my Husband, Best Friend....my Soulmate..xxxxx
What would I do without you?
I need you more and more each day,
And this post is to tell you
Why I'll always feel this way,

For it's not the things you say,
Or the thoughtful things you do
It's because I need you and I love you
Quite simply because you're you!

...

True love is spending one day getting married
... And the rest of your life feeling glad you did.

"Oh, how we danced on the night we were wed
We vowed our true love though a word wasn't said
The world was in bloom, there were stars in the skies
Except for the few that were there in your eyes.
The night seemed to fade into blossoming dawn
The sun shone anew but the dance lingered on
Could we but relive that sweet moment sublime
We'd find that our love is unaltered by time."
- lyrics to "The Anniversary Waltz," composed by Dubin/Frankl

Happy Anniversary to the one I'll always want,
even when I'm too old to remember what I'm supposed to want you for.
I love you Dale..xxxxx
With all my Heart..xxxxx
Thank you for 18 wonderful years....and 2 beautiful daughters..xxxx

I can feel it....coming in the air......

and i LOVE it!......autumn that is....yep, my very favourite season of the year.....
This morning was really the first time I have had a real sense of it....there was definately a little *nip* there and the lovely smells that come along with autumn are just starting ( no, its not sprouts!!!) I cannot wait for the glorious golds, coppers and bronzes to appear in the hedgerows and trees......and the conkers with their mahogany skins, hiding under fallen leaves like hidden treasure for us to find.....jeez I just love this time of year.

I came home yesterday morning to see these beautiful spiders webs in the back garden, the dew hung on them like minature gems and made them into crystal chandaliers....absolutely gorgeous ( having said that i do NOT like the clever little beasts that made them.....eeeeeeeeeeeewwwww!)

and talking of eeeewwwww.....just look at these horrid little blighters.....YUK!....and more to the point...what ARE they doing? Anyone know? Or should I not ask????? See that huuuuuuge gelatinous globule thingy in the middle???? What do ya think that is???? Makes me shudder to even think lol. Anyway, answers on a postcard please!

and just check out that big old hole in the side of the slugs head!! Well, I *think* its it head....eeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwww!

Right, I am going to take some more pills....I am suffering from earrache and a sore throat and have been for a few days :(, I thought it was starting to go, but it seems to have flared up more this afternoon....ho hum! I am hoping to finish a new class page tonight, so maybe I will show you a little sneaky peek over the weekend....have a lovely evening.....

Warmest wishes Anita...xxxxx

What a Weekend!

Woweeee, I have just had THE most brilliant but tiring weekend that I can remember. My lovely friend Jill of Cardinal Colours has just held her very first retreat.....and it was a total corker!
The Chatsworth hotel was such a lovely venue to host her first retreat( first of many I hope!), it sits smack bang on the seafront at Eastbourne and we all had a lovely view and wonderful weather....we really were spoilt all round!

The following picture was stolen....er I mean *borrowed* from the ever so lovely Zoe's blog ( she is one SERIOUSLY talented lady....such a shame...she doesn't like sprouts mwahahahaaa!)

I stupidly forgot to take along my camera ( and I call myself a scrapper....pah!!) so I guess I shall be trawling the other ladies blog and borrowing pics from them too he!he!he! ;)

There were lots of classes going on over the weekend, including both scrapping AND cardmaking, Jill's daughter Angie taught 2 absolutely stunning classes designed by Karen Burniston, this was no easy job let me tell you, one of the classes was 4 hrs long and the other was 3 hrs, both were very detailed and Angie was amazing....I think the ladies who were in her classes were very lucky.

Zoe Pierson taught some absolutely scrumptious cardmaking classes, check out her blog for some total inspiration! And on top of that she made me laugh ALL weekend....I thought I was going to have to buy shares in Tena lady!!! Thank you Zoe if you read this.xx

Jane Gill also taught some beautiful card classes, with stamping and also exquisite punch art flowers, she is one talented lady.

I was lucky enough to join in on a couple of classes, this one entitled Truly Madly Deeply was one of S-J's . I have known Sarah Jane for a few years now but have not been lucky enough to take one of her classes....until now. And let me tell you, it was a real pleasure, she is such a lovely, gentle soul and a great teacher....I thoroughly enjoyed myself and i really LOVE my layout, which has pride of place in the lounge on a stand at the moment :)

We had a fab kit to work with that was filled with lush products, I just added a few bits of bling and some stitching.

I also sat in a class with Laura
She too is an absolute Sweetheart and is brimming over with enthusiasm and encouragement and she just made me want to get into my stash later on at home and just let loose with lots and lots of things and not try to be frugal but really let go and 'use it or lose it'. Unfortuantely I cannot show you my layout from Laura's class as its a LOT of miles away from me at the mo lol, but I will def blog it when I get it back :)

There were a few challenges over the weekend....one of them being to create a name badge....using the theme of the seaside. So here is my badge lol, its actually quite large....and heavy, so I only wore it on the friday( when it then left 2 rather large holes in my t-shirt!!)and from then on it sat either on a desk or back in my bag lol. there really were some wonderful creations made, i wish I had my camera to have taken some shots.

Over the weekend I hosted some make and takes and thankfully they seemed quite popular :) ( thank you to all the ladies who made me feel wanted lol)
these were some of the earrings i made for make and takes using Basic Grey brads, this seemed to be a popular M&T and I had some lovely feedback from it ( thank you ladies)

dont'cha just luuuuurve the pink zebra/bark looking ones!

I also held some M & T's to make bag charms and the ladies made some beautiful ones which i think they were pleased with( they were certainly beavering away around the tables)

My lovely and talented friends Linda and Lynn were both hosting make and takes too and made some delicious cards and cup cake gift boxes using the Cricut and Cuttlebug
Thank you Jill for a fabulous weekend, I am chuffed to bits to have been there to have shared in its huge success....and I look forward to doing it all again.....sometime....when we have recovered from this one lol..xxxxxxx

S....is for September, Stitching and Scrapology!!!

Hello there....well as we have rolled into September it means over at Scrapology we have also rolled out this months inspiration too! This month we have been inspired to lift a fabulous layout by Alison ( pop over to the blog and have a look, you will also find a sketch of the original for you to work from if you wish)....there are some lovely examples from the rest of the design team for you to see.

Here is my offering for Sept....as you can see I have very slightly changed it....I have a pleated border rather than circle and I am not patient enough to have done lots more hand sewing lol.... BUT the good thing is you DON'T have to do it all anyway....as you can see by looking at some of the other DT pages you can use faux stitching, rub ons and even machine stitching.

I have used papers from My Little Shoebox, Echo Park and Cosmo Cricket.

And yes....that IS a bath scrunchie( brand new and un-used ;)) that has been gathered and stuck along the bottom of the border lol ( watch this space, I have a feeling this fabby fabric will be appearing all over the place)

a few tatty spiral roses..... and below is a close up of the stitching ( I never was any good at embroidery!)

The frilled edge all around the photo was created using some 5 bladed scissors which are also sometimes known as security scissors or fringe scissors.
I like how the blades slice and then slightly turn the slices so they stand up a little.

We would love to have you come along and play with us....and to entice you even more we have yet another wonderful prize that you could win this month from Cardinal Colours that Jill has so kindly donated....thank you Jill.xxx
So, you have until October 1st to create and submit and then Alison will be choosing the best layout for the winner on Oct 3rd........go on, you know you want to!!!!!
warmest wishes Anita..xxx

A Braddy Bracelet...a Birthday Card...AND ...A Sneaky Peek!

Salutations on this beautiful Sunday afternoon....I hope the sun is shining where you are!
Yesterday it was this months crop at Cardinal Colours and, as always, I have a really lovely day with some lovely and very creative friends!
I made myself this braddy bracelet which I am rather pleased with! I used a few super sized brads from a Dovecraft pack that I bought last week, some jump rings and a toggle set....and its just so easy and quick....just think of all those delish sets of brads out there in ALL different colours and themes....the possiblities are endless!

I am teaching some make and takes later this month at Cardinal Colours Seaside Retreat one of which will involve using brads....but it will be to make pairs of earrings instead ;)

And for anyone wondering does the bracelet turn your skin green? Well, I have worn it all day today also and not a mark has shown yet, nor any irritation either...so that's good. :)

This card was a belated one for Karen. It's very much like the otehr card I made the other day, I used the same papers, but just used different stamps from my new set Make a Wish.

And last....but certainly not least....tomorrow sees the launch of this months Scraplift challenge over at Scrapology so I thought I would show you a little sneaky peeky lol.

We hope you will pop over and have a look....and then hopefully you might like to join in and play along....once again there will be a rather super prize which has been very generously donated by our lovely friend Jill at Cardinal Colours
You gotta be in it to win it!
Enjoy what's left of the weekend...i am off to prepare the veg for dinner!!!
Warmest wishes Anita..xxxx
