Oooh a little sneak.....and

a trip to Hastings. This is just a little sneak peak of my DT page for the August Challenge that will be running from 1st August of at Scrapology

If you pop along here you will get a little taste of what my other DT team-mate lovlies have got lined up for your delight.

I thought I would share just a few pics of a recent trip to Hastings with our girlies.

Hmmmmmm.....chloe thought it would be a good idea to go for a massive sugar overload!

I however didn't! And refused to let her loose inside the shop and said she could lick the window instead!!!! Wicked Mummy that I am ;) LOL

Here is one of the cliffside trams. I did travel on one a few years ago, but I was too chicken to do it again.....not my idea of fun I have to say, although lovely to look at and watch.
Lauren's favourite part of any trip to any seafront is always a visit to the cockle parlours....eeewwwww!

And Chloe's is always ALWAYS a trip to the arcades.....she brought several of these little fellas home with her.

Lauren however liked the look of this machine a bit more ;)

She also spent time eye-ing up the local talent along the seafront.......

............she just can't leave the boys alone.....................

just before we left the skies opened up and the winds blew in, so it was just the right time to leave.

Have a super weekend, whatever you are up to. xxxx

A little sneak and a fishy friend.

What a lovely first week of the school summer holidays we have had so far! We hit the beach again at Pevensey yesterday and the girls had a great laugh....but more of that in a moment.
Firstly here is a little sneaky peek of my DT layout for the new challenge that will be launched over on Scrapology, starting on Monday 1st August....it's a really lovely layout that we have lifted again this month and we hope you like it and want to play along with us.

So, yesterday we hit the beach again for a few hours and the girls went body boarding and swimming again. At one point I thought I was going to laugh until I cried.....the girls were in the water and all of a sudden the water appeared to be 'boiling' in a rather large area. It was infact huge schoals of mackeral swimming along chasing whitebait, all you could see was lots and lots of little shiny heads, teeth and flapping about ( perfectly harmless of course lol) but the girls didn't know that ;) and it looked liked something out of a Benny Hill show to see them come flying through the water in a mad panic to get out. Oh my god how they laughed though....soooo funny bless em.

Lauren had a VERY close encounter with a mackeral!

And once he was gutted and beheaded ready for a barbeque she thought he made a great posing prop LOL.( odd child!!!)
I can see several more trips to the beach coming up over the holidays, weather permitting. But for today I have lots of housework and other catching up to do. Hope you all have a super weekend, whatever you are up too!
Warmest Wishes
Anita..xxx

Got a new challenge rolling just round the corner with Scrapology.

All will be revealed on 1st July....hope you will play along with us :)

P.Y.O. and a little sneak peek.

This is a layout of my eldest Nephew, Oliver. We all went to our local PYO Farm on our annual Strawberry Picking day out....(you know the kind, one for the punnet, one for our mouth....just for quality control purposes obviously).......and it was Olivers first time at properly picking them for himself and he really enjoyed it! And I have to say the strawbs at Sharnfold Farm ARE delicious!

I used some papers from an old Pink Paislee collection ( I think its Spring Fling) and also some PP alpha Stickers. The blossoms are Prima and the stickers are Crate Paper Emma's Shoppe
The red edged star is cut from some Scenic Route paper and I added the little gingham bow and strawb charm to finish it off. The gold swirls that are scattered here and there are made using some Pebeo Gold Outliner( I used to use this for outlining work on glass and ceramics)
I will leave you with a little sneak peek of something coming soon.....I hope you might like to come back in a few days to see the rest of it :)

Warmest Wishes

Cupcakes...a card AND a sneak peek!

Hello there :), I hope you have had a lovely weekend? I know I have....it started with Lauren's Birthday on Friday....then onto our monthly crop yesterday with a lovely bunch of talented ladies who are also very special friends....and then today I have had a lovely lie in and a generally lazy day( having said that, I have ignored my ironing pile that HAS to be done tonight...you know...the school and work uniforms....that grow overnight!!)
Anyway, I thought I would share some pics with you. This first one is Lauren with one her cupcakes that my lovely and multi-talented Sister made. Lauren had asked if she could have cupcakes instead of a normal birthday cake....all she said was she wanted something bright....and would also love a VW badge maybe if poss.
So, here she is with her very own cupcake....VW badge and all! Nice and shiny silver....and all edible too.

And here are the cakes altogether on their stand. My sister also had rice paper toppers printed with Lauren on them....how cool is that!!! Donna, if you read this, thank you soooo much Hun, you are so flipping lovely (((hugs)))
Because Lauren is a girl after my own heart I just knew she would *need* a cupcake card too LOL, so I set too and made her this easel card...its not perfect so please don't look too close lol, I freehand cut the cupcake and then coloured in a Magnolia with my Promarkers ( I think she is Cowberry Muffin, but could be wrong)
I added a small paper doily, some AC thickers
, crochet mesh netting , Prima blossoms and bling.....and I was really pleased with it...and Lauren likes it too, so that's good!
So, now I have a little sneaky peek to show you.....tomorrow heralds the October Scrapology Challenge
......and its an absolutely gorgeous layout that we had the pleasure of lifting for this month....so pop along, have a looky and hopefully you will want to join in the fun.

Right, I am going to finish my dinner...and then do the ironing :(....catch you soon

Warmest wishes Anita..xxxx

A Braddy Bracelet...a Birthday Card...AND ...A Sneaky Peek!

Salutations on this beautiful Sunday afternoon....I hope the sun is shining where you are!
Yesterday it was this months crop at Cardinal Colours and, as always, I have a really lovely day with some lovely and very creative friends!
I made myself this braddy bracelet which I am rather pleased with! I used a few super sized brads from a Dovecraft pack that I bought last week, some jump rings and a toggle set....and its just so easy and quick....just think of all those delish sets of brads out there in ALL different colours and themes....the possiblities are endless!

I am teaching some make and takes later this month at Cardinal Colours Seaside Retreat one of which will involve using brads....but it will be to make pairs of earrings instead ;)

And for anyone wondering does the bracelet turn your skin green? Well, I have worn it all day today also and not a mark has shown yet, nor any irritation either...so that's good. :)

This card was a belated one for Karen. It's very much like the otehr card I made the other day, I used the same papers, but just used different stamps from my new set Make a Wish.

And last....but certainly not least....tomorrow sees the launch of this months Scraplift challenge over at Scrapology so I thought I would show you a little sneaky peeky lol.

We hope you will pop over and have a look....and then hopefully you might like to join in and play along....once again there will be a rather super prize which has been very generously donated by our lovely friend Jill at Cardinal Colours
You gotta be in it to win it!
Enjoy what's left of the weekend...i am off to prepare the veg for dinner!!!
Warmest wishes Anita..xxxx

An Exciting New Adventure....and a little sneak peek.

Hello there, I hope you are having a wonderful weekend? Its certainly hot and humid down here on the south coast and we are being invaded by lots and lots of pesky wasps! I have been to a local bootie this morning and they were EVERYWHERE! People were getting stung left, right and centre....horriible! Anyway....onto our exciting news!

Tomorrow sees the official launch of a brand new blog....its called Scrapology - Adventures in Scrapbooking...and is the baby of my very lovely friend Lynn . I am honoured and totally thrilled to be part of her design team, which is an amazing bunch of very friendly and talented ladies, please do pop along to their blogs and see for yourselves. Scrapology is going to be a place where hopefully you will find your mojo ( especially, if like mine, it had recently gone astray lol), we hope to provide monthly inspiration for scrapbookers by providing scraplifting challenges, sketches and samples. It will be somewhere to share ideas and encourage each other to use different techniques along the way.

We hope that you will visit us and join in with this new adventure....
I thought I would just pop this little sneaky peek here of one of my first versions of a scraplift, so why not pop along and become a follower and come play with us!

Thank you so much Lynn for asking me to be part of your DT, I am so looking forward to this!

A Taste of Things to Come......

I have been working on my class pages for January, I like to make January a Christmas layout for my ladies so that they can use their latest Christmas photos on their page. December's class is generally not a layout and this year is no different, they will be making something that they can either keep for themselves or can give away as a gift.

Anyway, back to January's classes.... I thought I would give a little sneak of a teeny bit of both of them...so here they are.
So, now I need to start on Febs pages.....talk about wishing the year away LOL!
I am really not sure where this year has gone, its really flown by hasn't it! maybe its true what they say about time passing faster as you get older?!?!**!!

The weather is still atricious today, although to be fair the wind does seem to have settled down a bit now, but we are still experiencing large downfalls of the wet stuff. Hope it clears up though as I am on holiday this week...alas not going away anywhere, but just to get 3 and a half hours of extra sleep each morning by getting up at 7am will be fabulous, I have NO intention of letting go of the quilt before that.
Have a smashing Sunday...xxx
