P is for Peeking Elements....March Challenge at Scrapology.
Spring is just around the corner and that can only mean one thing....we have just rolled into March!!! It doesn't seem 5 minutes ago that it was Christmas does it? So, over at Scrapology this month we have had the lovely pleasure of lifting a gorgeous layout by our very own Lovely Lynn
Her technique was to have elements peeking out from behind somewhere on the layout and also to follow the sketch provided of her original, lovely layout.
I made 2 layouts for this month( both using the same photo infact!!) and this is my first ( and favourite) one.
I broke out some old Basic Grey paper....from the Curio range I believe. I backed the photo onto a torn piece of pizza box and swiped it with some Texture Paste and then added some flowers cut from a sheet of Curio....a little ripping, scrunching, tearing here and there and tucking in some bits and bobs and that was about it really :)
I added a pearly swirl which I cut into pieces to make it stretch further ;)
Lynn's beautiful original page that we lifted and the sketch we would like you to work from.
If you pop over to the Scrapology blog you can see the beautiful pages created for you by the DT and who knows, hopefully it will inspire you to join in the challenge.
So....that's a cool sketch to use...and have fun with creating some peeking elements....and you have right the way round til April 5th to enter. the weekend is right upon us so why not make the most of your time and have a play with your lush paper stash over the weekend...if your layout wins there is a fab prize up for grabs!
Warmest wishes Anita xx

T is for Texture Paste....Feb Challenge at Scrapology
This month over at Scrapology we are lifting a beautiful layout by Heather Jacob and we are being challenged to use Texture paste on our pages.
I have never used this product but have often admired other peoples work using it. Well what can I say?? I LOVED playing with it and I really REALLY enjoyed making this layout. I cannot remember the last time I felt like this about a page and I know it probably sounds daft, but I really feel like my mojo could well be rolling back to me....hopefully :).
Probably helped that I played with my absolute favourite colours too lol and also broke out some old OLD stash that I have had for a long time....that little plaque is from the very early Basic Grey days...not sure if its Motifica or Sublime, but it is def old lol.
I used a 12 x 12 Harlequin mask to spread the paste through and added in some teal acrylic paint in patches. I broke out my old seed and bugle beads and glued down in patches too....waste not want not! LOL....looks a little like eyelashes doesn't it.
A sprinkling of bling, blossoms and yummy AC Thickers ( again in my absolute fave colour!!)
I printed out some butterflies that were over on the awesome Swirlydoos site and then 'Stickled' them up.
Here is Heather's original, beautiful page that we were lucky enough to lift....gorgeous isn;t it!
And here is the sketch that we worked from.
So....come on, get 'pasting!'

Someone to love...is family. January Scrapology Challenge
Yay.....I have had a little visit from my vacant mojo fairy( she cleared off months ago :( ). So I made this layout for our January challenge over at Scrapology
The theme is T is for tags and we have lifted a fabby layout by Elaine Rolf.
I used up scrips and scraps of paper left overs from other layouts....some Bo Bunny Timepeice and some Simple Stories Generations, based on a sheet of Kraft Bazill.
I inked, spritzed, distress stickled, shimmer sprayed and stamped and made some fabric flowers. I used my SU doily stamps ( had them for some time and not yet used them!!) and I made the tags from some un-used Christmas gift tags and used the reverse of them
This month we are using tags on our layouts and following a sketch ( shown below) . We have been lucky enough to lift this lovely layout by Elaine Rolf , you can see more of her super work by clicking on her name and visiting her blog.

N is for Netting! Scrapology August Challenge
This month at Scrapology we have the pleasure of lifting a wonderful page by Toni AKA 2 Dogs, you can visit her inspirational blog here
Here is my DT offering for this month.
I chose to scrap this photo of Lauren, taken by a friend whilst she was on holiday in Italy with her Year 10 schoolfriends. It was on a day trip into Verona, where they saw several street entertainers amongst other things. She had a super holiday( her first time abroad!!) and I really must get round to scrapping more photos of it for her.
I used a sheet of MME Madison Avenue "Happily ever after" and added a doily, which I misted with 2 colours of Cosmic Shimmers. I also die cut some hinges which I painted gold and heat embossed with clear UTEE, then added butterflies and blossoms( I saw this sort of idea some time ago online but sadly cannot remember where to be able to credit them :( ). I frilled up a long strip of netting and placed behind the photo and also made a flower using the tulle netting too.
I also created 2 flowers using pink organza circles that I singed the edges of with a tealight and popped a gem in the centre. The title was die cut, I popped on a couple of organza bows and then I liberally splashed about some pink Stickles in various places to finish the page off.
Here is Toni's original lovely layout that inspired us...........

Oooh a little sneak.....and
a trip to Hastings.
This is just a little sneak peak of my DT page for the August Challenge that will be running from 1st August of at Scrapology
If you pop along here you will get a little taste of what my other DT team-mate lovlies have got lined up for your delight.
I thought I would share just a few pics of a recent trip to Hastings with our girlies.
Hmmmmmm.....chloe thought it would be a good idea to go for a massive sugar overload!
I however didn't! And refused to let her loose inside the shop and said she could lick the window instead!!!! Wicked Mummy that I am ;) LOL
Here is one of the cliffside trams. I did travel on one a few years ago, but I was too chicken to do it again.....not my idea of fun I have to say, although lovely to look at and watch.
Lauren's favourite part of any trip to any seafront is always a visit to the cockle parlours....eeewwwww!
And Chloe's is always ALWAYS a trip to the arcades.....she brought several of these little fellas home with her.
Lauren however liked the look of this machine a bit more ;)
She also spent time eye-ing up the local talent along the seafront.......
............she just can't leave the boys alone.....................
Have a super weekend, whatever you are up to. xxxx

Y is fr Yarn over at Scrapology
This month ( much to my delight) we are once again lifting a beautiful layout by my favourite scrapper, Gabrielle Pollaco ( please do pop along and check out her truly inspirational blog)..
I have been busting to scrap this photo of my scrumptious, youngest niece, Madison and when I saw these lush new Crate Paper sheets in the Little Bo Peep collection I just knew that I HAD to use them for this challenge and scrap this gorgeous little bundle of pink fun.
I even had a go at making something from Pergamano and created the little frilly dress....not sure I really have the patience required for it though , so this is probably the only layout you will see it on LOL
The added challenge was use some sort of yarn on our pages, so I took a reel of silver metallic thread and drew stripes on it with a Hot Pink Promarker....and made a sort of Bakers Twine. I layered up various blossoms and punched out some leaf sprigs and a deco fan edge strip, then added a few dots of Liquid Pearls here and there.
I cut a circle of corrugated card ( from the front flap of a pizza box LOL,) then sprayed with a white mister and edged with Liquid Pearls
and also did a fair bit of fussy cutting of baby clothes, little chicks etc. i really REALLY enjoyed this challenge.
Here is Gabrielle's original, stunning page that we lifted............
And here is the sketch we worked from......................
Why not pop over to the Scrapology blog and see what all the other lovely DT members have created for this months challenge...there really is some truly wonderful work there.
You have until the beginning of Aug to enter this comp, so get cracking......or should I say Get Scrapping! We would LOVE to see what you create, so please do not forget to share your work with us and you could be in with winning this months prize, once again from Jill at Cardinal Colours.
Warmest Wishes
