Aug at Scrapology...S is for Shabby Chic

This month over at Scrapology we had the pleasure of lifting a beautiful page created by Sandrine Dawes, you can see her BLOG here

Here is my layout I created for the Scrapology dt this month....I used gorgeous papers by My Minds Eye and just added a few flat backed pearls and some vintage lace.
The photograph was taken recently at some stunning poppy fields a few miles away from home....truly a beautiful sight.

This is Sandrine's stunning original that we lifted.

If you pop over to the Scrapology blog you can see the rest of the design teams work, there are some truly beautiful variations of the page.
Once again there is a super prize on offer, this time kindly donated by Lynn and Linda . We would love to see you join in this months challenge.....get scrapping!
Warmest wishes Anita xxx

Dream Big!

Just a quick post tonight, feeling rather pants with a painful throat and earache :( This is a layout I made a month or so ago, using MME Lost and Found II papers. I really REALLY love the glittering on them and the elements that I cut from one of the sheets. One of my nephews making daisy chains on the grass bank next to Battle Abbey ( doesn't he look like butter wouldn't melt in his mouth lol)

Right, just going to take some pills and crash out on the settee for a bit I think. Hope you have a lovely weekend xxx

MME...Follow Your Heart...Be Happy!

Just when I thought I couldn't love a paper range more, I cracked open the 'Be Happy' papers from the same 'Follow Your Heart' collection by My Minds Eye. This range is pink and more girly based and I am 100% in LOVE with the soft, delicate colours and pretty pictures. I am DEF going to have to get me some more!

My scrummy new niece graces this layout, she is just a little living dolly, so adorable. I took this photo of her all snuggled up in her Mummy's arms when she was just a few days old.

I cut out a few of the pretty hexagons from the 'Pink Honey' sheet, gently inked the edges and then stuck some flat to the layout and others I raised on foam pads. I cut some other hexagons down for the bunting and die cut Maddie's name using sizzlit alpha 'Script'.

I finished the page off with some citrine flat backed crystals, popped in the centre of a few flowers. Love, LOVE these papers. So very easy to work with and just so very pretty ( of course it helps when you have a lovely little person in the photo too ;) )

If you have got some of these gorgeous papers, I would love to see what you do with them. Leave me a link and I will come and see :)
