my poor, old faithful car :(. I think I shall be traumatized for a little while to come! She has been part of our family for 10 years now and has taken us on various holidays, shopping trips, to various crops and also the odd trip to A & E!
Anyway, she has had waaaay too much spent on her recently and was due to be taxed again at the end of March. Unfortunately of late she had become very VERY sick and I have only been able to limp about locally in her....so yesterday....she took her last spin on local roads...(well, on ANY roads actually lol) Dale followed me and we took her to the local scrap yard....and there I left her :(...........
Farewell my oil guzzling, rattly money eater!
And a biiiiig WELCOME to my lovely, shiny( and rattle less) new drive!
Yep, I am now officially the owner of a lovely Skoda!!!!!
.
Noooooooooooooo! Not one like that!!!!!
one like this!!!>>>>>>>>>>>>> actually this is her¬
She is lovely....and has leather heated seats.....and air con ( I had to open the windows for the same effect in my old car!!)...and 4 wheel drive.....AND central locking!!!!! Can you tell I am not used to having a * normal * car!
So....now all I need are a new air freshener....and some pink furry dice and matching steering wheel cover!
I think my trauma is starting to fade.......he!he!he!...xxxxxx

Share The Love
I am just going to try and squeeze a last minute entry into this months challenege at The Craft Barn
Isabelle Norris has designed this fabby sketch to follow and also you have to use the theme of LOVE....that is Love of any kind, be it for your other half, your family, your pets, Cadburys creme Eggs or anything lol.
So this is my offering. Its a photo of Lauren and Oliver, taken last year at Fishers Farm Park on a day trip out. They had just come off of the ice rink and decided that Oliver wanted an ice cream. Now he NEVER shares anything like that normally, but he totally LOVES his biggest cousin to bits and will do anything for her, so when she asked if she could share he was definately happy to.
I have used paper pleating on here to create the flower rosettes and the border.
Thanks for looking, hope you like it..xxxxxxxxxx

Buttons and Bows...PFP Challenge
Afternoon all :)
I made this card over the weekend but didn't actually finish it totally til last night. Its for the latest challenge over at the Passion For Promarkers Challenge blog and its any colours you like but the theme is Buttons and Bows. I bought this gorgeous ribbon( its a fine organza type with an embossed pattern in flock) and the buttons on Saturday at The Eternal Maker at Chichester and just wanted to use them straight away lol....still, makes a change from them sitting in a bag tucked away under everything else for weeks...nay months....on end LOL!
I thought I would make an easel card and add a little calendar to it. The PP is S.E.I. Dill Blossom.
Thanks for looking...have a super evening...xxxxx

A little Lovin'
hello anyone who reads this lol...sorry not been about for a few days
( although I am sure no one missed me lol). i thought I would share this layout that I have recently made, its sort of a half pressie and half comp entry :)
Jill at Cardinal Colours
has been running a competition on the theme of luuuurve! It could be a love for anything you like and I just knew what my obvious choice was ( also I didn't have a photo handy of Creme eggs so couldn't do that option anyway....mwahahahahaaaaaa!!!)I based the whole page on a 12 x 12 transparency which I stamped swirls onto with white and black Staz-on. I then used a mix of papers inc Scenic Route, Making Memories and KI Memories. The lasercut panel at the top is the white backside of a turqouise sheet and I inked it red and then dragged an orange ink over it. I then just used a mix of various alphas for the title.
I stamped the black flowers with some white stazon then punched a retro daisy and punched the edges of each petal with my doily lace punch.
The wording is....The Greatest Love Of All....is The One I Share With You......
says it all really eh :)

Cookie Monster!
thought these little beasties deserved a post of their own! Lauren wanted to have a play with some buns and decided on making some Cookie Monster ones, so up to the shops she went and came back with some bright blue food colouring! He should really have got mini cookies in his mouth, but whats a cookie size between friends.
And i must say they were very yummy indeed. I was looking forwards to having one the day after, but I opened up the fridge door, picked up the plate with the cookies on and.....it slipped out my hand, hit the glass shelf and shattered the shelf and hundreds of shards of glass sprayed everywhere! So had to chuck them away as i really didn't fancy anyone chewing on little bits of the sharp stuff! Maybe we will find Big bird visits the kitchen this weekend lol.

Once Upon A Time.....
..... there was a beautiful Princess. I thought I would post a couple of layouts that I made last year, at a retreat that I attend each year with some lovely friends...and we are going to all get together again in a few weeks, I can't wait!
This had to be one of the only times I have ever bought some new papers AND actually used them the day after I got them instead of admiring them and then leaving them in the paper bag they came in LOL.
I thoroughly enjoyed making this page, I think the paper is Crate Paper and then I did my normal *throw it all on and cut some bits out routine*, I love the page....and more importantly so did my beautiful little Princess :)
My 2nd page is called Melon Muncher and I just HAD to scrap these pics of Lauren and her melon munch on the beach at Pevensey. I normally steer clear of very bright colours( I prefer grungey, inky, murky colours lol). The cute bear at the top was a paper peicing I bought on ebay :) Really looking forwards to the good weather and the chance to hit the beach again this year.
Well, I know old work is a bit of a cop-out for blogging, but, I have got a couple of new bits that I am going to post on saturday, but can't before then incase someone else see's them ;).
Must dash as I am off tonight to see the closing night of a play that Lauren is in, I can't wait and have been warned to take some tissues, apparently its quite a tear jerker...and as I am soft mare anyway its pretty much in the bag that the mascara will be running! Have a lovely evening..xxxx

What wonderful inspiration.....
and a fabulous chance to win some amazing blog candy.
I have been blog hopping today and luckily I landed on this ladies wonderful blog, her name is Rosette and she has some really lovely blog candy on offer. But , much more importantly than that, she creates THE most stunning cards. She colours her images beautifully and embellishes her cards perfectly and they are a real pleasure to look at. So, if you have time go and have a good long look.......... if you only go for the candy I am pretty sure you will want to stay and take a tour.
I am very much looking forwards to following her and seeing her new creations as she uploads them, there is plenty of inspiration to be found there and I plan working my way backwards through her older posts too.
Happy hopping..xxx

Kindred Spirits.
I thought I would share with you the layout that I made yesterday at Jill's crop. I just love getting together with the girls once a month( I really wish it could be more often than that!!) And there are a few different crafts that are on the go normally. Yesterday saw Chris making the most wonderful necklaces, she had a right production line going. Sue and Linda were card making, Lynn and Wendy were scrapping....and Jill was mainly cursing lol, at her laptop that was, not at the rest of us! I made 10 bag charms first and then moved onto this layout. Several years ago my Mum and Dad had THE most adorable Irish Terrier, his show name was Wexford Wanderer, but his pet name was Paddy and he was a real character. He was as nutty as a fruitcake, with a cheeky face, his eyes were really bright and full of spirit and he was totally and utterly mischievous( anyone who knows Chloe in real life will know where I am going here lol)
Anyway, Chloe ( who is actually very, VERY wary of dogs) just absolutely adored him. I think they had a genuine bond with each other and I think their personalities were so alike that they were definately Kindred Spirits.....its a good job they were both cute LOL. Sadly Paddy hasn't been around for a few years and went to sleep at a fairly young age.
My Mum and Dad have this photo in a frame at home in black and white, so I scanned it and printed it in Selenium tone on Roxio Suite. I have used a mix of papers and various blossoms, BG Rub Ons, AC Thickers and a Prima Swirl. The butterfly was already glitterd, but the crystals on its wings were clear, so I coloured them with ProMarkers, I also coloured some of the crystals on the swirl.
I finished the page by stamping rounghly round the edge of the whole layout using a very swirly stamp and some coffee bean brown ink, then I carefully stamps parts of the Thickers for the title. I hope you have all had a super weekend? I am not sure where the time goes, it seems to have flown..xxxx Warmest Wishes Anita..xxx

Now THAT'S what I call a Flutterby Cake!
BEWARE!!!!!!! Major sugar overload to alert!!!!!
Yes, that really is a gigantic flutterby cake! On Sunday it is one of Lauren's friends birthday....and she absolutely LOVED the flutterby cakes I made the other day, lauren too some into school to share), anyway, Lauren decided she would like to make a mega one, so I had a practice today....and this is the result!!!! This is what 4 eggs, 8ozs of SR Flour, 8ozs Caster Sugar and Stork Marg PLUS a tbsp of hot water looks like!!!!
Add to that the piles of icing sugar and marg that made the buttercream and you have a positive time bomb LOL. Lauren wasn't about for a piccy so Chloe posed with the cake....and didn't even take a sneaky nibble lol.

I have a few more bits to sort out for tomorrows crop.....and then, if I can peel myself down from the ceiling I will be off to bed too.

All Creatures Great and Small....a challenge.
Good morning to you out there in blogland. I have to say its a dreary day here, wet and cold and I am really tired to top it all! But, there are signs that Spring is hopefully just round the corner, little Snowdrops are waving their little heads in my lovely neighbours front garden....BRING IT ON i say :)
I have been looking at the fab Passion For Promarkers challenge blog for a while and have been admiring everyone else stunning work. This week I thought I would like to have a go and see what I could do. The theme is All Creatures Great and Small, I have used the Penny Black 'Make Lemonade' stamp....those lil mice are just sooo cute! I used s a scrap of BG and some Scenic Route Belleville papers, some teeny Prima blossoms and leaves, Ice Stickles and some stick on pearls, oh and my Martha Stewart edge punch( I LOVE that punch lol), I printed my own sentiment . Now I have just got to go and be brave and upload a link on the Pro blog.
Right, thats me done I think....off to double check I have packed everything for classes tonight and tomorrow at Jill's....have a lovely afternoon and evening.xxx
