A Lovely Award

Hello blogging friends....

sorry I haven't been about for a bit!

I have been bestowed this lovely award by a very lovely blogging friend of mine SARAH. Check out her wonderful blog, its full to the brim of inspiration and beautiful creations to look at. Thank you so much Sarah, I am thrilled to have been given this Hun, thank you for your ongoing friendship and warmth..xxx

Right then, now there are some rules I need to follow

* Thank the person who gave it to you...... have done that now. :)
* Tell seven things about yourself......ooooer, shall have to think hard on that one!! LOL
* Pass the award of to five other bloggers who you think are fantastic...... right! off to do that now!

Okey dokey, here we go then......
I would like to pass this award onto these 5 lovely ladies. They are all very lovely friends, each one creates THE most beautiful cards and layouts and they all inspire me. I am very grateful to be able to say that they are my friends and I love nothing more than when we all get chance to get together in real life either at crops or our annual retreat.
So here we are Lynn, Linda, Karen, Liz and Jill....this award is for you!

Right, I need to go to the dentists in a couple of minutes for a crown fitting YUK! So I will pop back later and try and think of 7 things that I can blog about myself.......

ok, back again....right then, let me think............................ok, here are 7 things about me ( hope I don't bore you too much lol)

1. I do NOT like dentists! I know I am a grown woman, but I admit I am terrified of them AND I resent paying for pain. This mornings visit did nothing to help on either of those issues!

2. I have size 10 feet!!! Yep, I did say size 10.....I was 5ft 11" and had size 9 feet by the age of 13, shoe buying used to be a nightmare and my parents used to have to take me to Croyden to get my shoes boot and sandals. Its a bit easier nowadays but still creates a nightmare.....so just give me an empty shoe box, some laces and some cellotape and I will happily fashion myself some footwear LOL( not forgetting of course the addition of blossoms and some bling! LOL

3. I think John Travolta is absolutely gorgeous and would love to be stranded on a desert island with him.....and Keanu Reeves, Christian Slater, Gerard Butler....and Freddy Starr ( what can I say? I just love a man who makes me laugh!)

4. I am 100% petrified of moths *shudders* just at the mention of them. I do not know why they exist? They are of no use for anything and are horrible.....and make a mess on the wall when you swat them!

5. I crave salt! I know its really bad for me.....but I have even been known to make a little pile in the palm of my hand and then lick my finger and keep dipping in it and licking it off till its gone.....I can't believe I have just typed that out loud!!! I used to even hide a salt pot in my office drawer at work for just such a craving!

6. I used to decorate goose eggs! Some were cut in half and then I added little hinges, lined them with satin, blinged up the outside and made little jewellery boxes. Others could be used as cake toppers etc.

7. When I was younger I always ALWAYS wanted to fly in a Red Arrow. I even wrote to Jim'll Fix It in the hope that he would fix it for me to do so....alas he never did! I still get a thrill now when we are lucky enough to watch them perform over the seafront at Eastbourne in the summer. I get a real buzz of adrenalin when they whizz past and you hear the roar of the jet engines....I also love the Harrier and Jaguar jets too ( not to mention the lovely men in uniform ;) )

so there you go....7 things about me. Hope I haven't made you fall asleep on your keyboard!/xxxx

20 years....

that's how long I have been with my lovely hubby....and I count myself very lucky to have him in my life! So I thought I should do a layout ( especially as I did a 19 year one last year LOL) and this is what I came up with.

Of course I had to use my favourite colours, Teal and Lime, so I used a mix of papers, blossoms, bling and lush teal glitter thickers. I made the bow that goes across the layout out of some white nylon crochet ribbon which I dabbed with alcohol ink ( Stream) to make the colour tie in.

The large teal flower at the top was originally a pale cream, so I changed it with a promarker :), I also coloured some of the clear crystal swirl at the bottom left with promarkers too.

I made the spiral roses and used a couple of decorated pins that I had embellished months ago and had misplaced *tuts*, then just used a sprinkling of bling and teal coloured half pearls.

Its now sitting in a box frame in our lounge....and I LOVE it!
Thanks for looking....Warmest Wishes Anita..xxx

Scarecrows going to Market

Evening all :), just a very quick post tonight before I go to bed for a few hours. I have been out today with Chloe, My sister and her little ones. We have had a lovely time jaunting down through Battle on the trail of the Scarecrows who were going to market! Each year there is a Scarecrow competition in Battle, they are all made by local people, schools, shops and even the nursing home and there have been some lovely examples. Unfortunately when we went last year some mindless thugs had destroyed and even stolen some of them, why oh WHY are there some sad, moronic individuals out there who have to behave like that? Sad muppets!
Anyway, I am sorry to say this is a photo heavy post tonight, but I thought I would share a few pics of some of the fab ones we found. Hope you have had a lovely Sunday, catch up soon..xxxx

Some Kind of Wonderful....

I originally tried posting this earlier this morning, but the internet crashed and I lost it!!! Grrrrrr!

This is another page using some of the lush BoBunny papers that I now seem to have developed a strange fetish for LOL! I am doing classes this month using the starburst technique and this is another example of it. Such an easy technique to use, but quite effective...well I think so anyway LOL.

I used the title from an old fave film of mine( 1987) which starred Eric Stoltz and Mary Stuart Masterson, I loved the film back then and have recently seen it again and just knew it was the right title for this page( yeah yeah, I know I am a soppy plum LOL!).

There was quite a lot of cutting out of the floral pattern and then just finishing off with a bit of tearing, punching butterflies, popping on card candy and lots and lots of stickles!

I have been to our crop today and actually managed 2 layouts!!! Thats almost a record for me LOL, I shall upload them another time. I always look forwards to our crop, its such a lovely bunch of friends that I scrap with and we always have a good laugh, today was no exception :) Jill, thanks so much for yet another corker of a day :)..xxxxx

From Me to You......

I made this card for a lovely blogging friend that I have met online, she always leaves such heart warming comments for people on their blogs and leaves a smile on their faces, so I thought I would like to leave a smile on her face too, not only is she lovely BUT she is very talented too and creates some stunning work that is a pleasure to look at....*waves* to Sarah

Thank to my lovely and VERY talented friend Lynn for this gorgeous Kimmie image that she kindly sent me. It was lovely letting loose with lots of bright colours LOL.
Right, must get our youngest beastie ready for her disco tonight and then get on with dinner and sort out some page kits for tomorrows crop :), can;t wait to meet up with everyone again. xxx
