Sweet Dreams are Made of This!

I have just spent a really lovely evening in the company of my lovely Sister and my eldest Daughter. We went to the cinema and watched this.

There was lots of this

And a fair amount of this

BUT
not nearly enough of this!
( I feel the need to complain!!!)

So I am going to take these lasting thoughts and go to bed and have Sweet Dreams ;)

Framed as a family.

Something a little different than a layout......this wooden frame is 11" x 9.5" and was already white when I bought it. I used some swirly stamps and black Staz-On to stamp on the Family cut out section, just to try and make it stand out a little more. I took the photo whilst we were on holiday back in August and we were on a river boat trip on the Thames :)

The papers are from My Minds Eye and are from the beautiful Lost and Found 2 collection....absolutely gorgeous and very glittery in real life.

Using some of the paper left overs from the layers I made some spiral roses and then I used some flat backed gems in the corners of the frame and the centres of some of the flowers just to finish them off.

It made a nice change to make something other than a layout.xx

Scrapology November Card Challenge

Over on Scrapology the card challenge for this month has been set by and sponsored by none other than Joanna Sheen. She and her team have challenged us to use an image from the gorgeous House Mouse collection.
Here is my card for the DT.
I decided to make it into a small easel card and added some Stickles, GlitterDust and Glossy Accents along with a sentiment from Craftwork Card.

Just a little close up.....he is such a cutie isn't he...passed out on the buttercream LOL.
Why not pop along to Scrapology and check out the vast gallery of DT creations for this month ( and Joanna's card too!) and also you can find out how to enter the challenge yourself and see what prize is up for grabs from Joanna.

Warmest wishes

Our Pumpkin Posse "11

Every year we visit the local pumpkin Patch and every year I make a layout of it....so here is my page for this year :)
You know me, I just love to pile on loads and loads of lumps, bumps and sparkles and I couldn't break my habit so I am afraid this one is no exception LOL.

I have ripped, inked, glossed, glittered, beaded and stuck and I am really pleased with the result.
The pumpkin head on the bottom left even lights up and has flashing eyes and mouth LOL, I got him from our lovely Jill at Cardinal Colours and the beautiful irredescant beads came from her too( she has a super selection of beads!) and the copper nailheads too!

Next year's visit to the patch will include one more little one....my Sister is due to have another baby at the end of January, so I wonder if I will have a new neice...or nephew?

now onto things that are not anywhere near as nice or cute as little ones....eeeeek, check out this big old fella who was just outside our back door the other day ***shudders*** he really was huuuuuge ( I could even see the hairs on his legs lol).

YUK!!!!!!! I hope he stays OUT in the garden and doesn't think he can come inside....I shall have a rolled up newspaper waiting for him if he does!

Right, I am off to do some scrapping....hope you are having a fab weekend too..xxxx

You got more rabbit than Sainsbury's!

Well that was the infamous words of Chas and Dave anyway LOL. I have 2 cards to share today ( please excuse the poor pics of them though). I have recently discovered the delights of Warren, a cute little character from Craftwork Cards
and thought I would use him on 2 birthday cards that I had to make over the last couple of weeks. The first one here was made for Linda . We celebrated her birthday at our crop last week as it was the same day ( hope you had a lovely day Linda :) )

This is the second card that I made for my Auntie for her birthday. I have just got some of the Warren christmas images too, so I guess thats what will be appearing on my chrimbo this year....best get cracking on them then lol.

Right, just a quick fly through for me today, but I will be back with a layout tomorrow hopefully.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend..xxx

November with Scrapology...F is for Fabric Flowers

This month over at Scrapology we have chosen to lift a lovely layout by Hannah Young, please go and enjoy a visit round her blog Handmade Hannah

Here is my contribution to the DT. I used papers from Prima and scrapped the photo of our eldest, taken at an awards night ceremony.

*** I know the layout looks really crooked round the edges.....but its not....honest!! ***

The flowers are made from some satiny type fabric, I sprayed the flowers and the doily with some Cosmic Shimmer spray. I die cut some sprays of leaves and also added some crystals. I also printed out some butterflies, Stickled them and then totally coated with a thick layer of Glossy Accents, which then dried and they look almost ceramic.

I took a 2nd sheet of the same background paper, cut out the little girl and the balloons and then raised them up on foam pads. I added some Stickles, Liquid Pearls and then, when dry, I coated them with Glossy Accents.

This is the sketch that we worked from

And this is the original layout created by Hannah.

If you would like to play along with this challenge then you have until Dec 5th to create and upload, we ask that you create flowers from fabric, lace or ribbon and that you also work from the sketch above please :)
Really hope you are inspired to enter....as always there will be a super prize to be won.
Warmest wishes Anita..xxx
