The *C* word.......

Hello There...

I hope you have had a wonderful weekend? I certainly have been lucky enough to! I have been away on a long weekend crafting retreat with 11 of the most lovely ladies that I am also lucky enough to call friends. Have had a super creative time and lots of laughter and yummy food with perfect company.

I have got some things to share, but i need to photograph them properly and then I will pop them on here.

But for now I thought I would try to catch up a bit on some previous layouts that I made....so I will start with this one that made using 'A Christmas Carol' papers, from Graphic 45 and photo's of my cheeky nephews and nieces xx

Thankks for looking xxx

Single moments make great memories.

Last year I used these gorgeous papers from the Bontanica collection by Kaisercraft, apologies for the photos, they are not very sharp and really do not do the layout or the plaque justice. Lots of fussy cutting on the layout and the addition of lots and lots of Crystal Stickles ( such a shame you cannot see the sparkles in the photo)

The photograph of me and my lovely Hubby was taken whilst on holiday in August 2015 and we visited the Norfolk Lavendar Farm....what a beautiful place. And at last it gave me chance to use my rainbow umbrella that I purposely bought as a phto prop about 3 years ago LOL!

I used the left over peices of paper to cover and decorate a wall hanging plaque and I added a photo of some pretty special ladies I know and have the absolute pleasure of calling my friends xxx
I added some paper blossoms and raised the oval section with the lovely saying on up on foam pads and then liberally used the Crystal Stickles again.....I LOVE Stickles!!

My very first project post as a member on the Papermaze DT.

Hello, It’s Anita here with my very first post for the Papermaze DT.
I have been lucky enough to work with some of the beautiful new release papers from Prima’s
‘Tales of You and Me’ Collection  and my layout is about celebrating my lovely sister on her
40th birthday.

To start with I gutted the centre of the ‘Notre Amour Sera àJamais’ sheet and mounted the outer frame onto a sheet of brown cardstock, raising it up on double sided foam pads all around the edges to give it a little dimension.

I then took the centre piece of the sheet and distressed the edges and then inked them, I gently inked one of the tiny doilies and popped some behind the paper, leaving some poking out. I also splattered some ink splats and drizzled some runs on the paper too.

I took a sheet of the cardstock and punched out a lacy edge border to matt my photograph on, I gently sponged it with the same ink I used earlier to tone the colour down a bit.

Using half a sheet of ‘Beaute Cashee’ I die cut various flowers which I then inked, layered and curled to create full blooms, I added buttons and dewdrops for the centres of the flowers and scattered some others randomly about the page.

I then added in the string, Alpha Stickers and finished off the page with a chipboard number 40 which I coated liberally with bronze glitter.

I also altered this old wooden mirror that I have had for a long time.

I painted first with a Winter White acrylic paint, then cut to fit a piece of ‘ Belles melodies D’amour’ sheet, cutting out the centre to expose the mirror and inking all the edges before sticking to the mirror frame.
I made some more blossoms using some of the cardstock in two different colours, which I then inked up and also punched out some fronds to tuck underneath the blooms.
I cut out the little girl and the butterflies from the  ‘Contes de Toi et Moi’ sheet and then finished it off using some more of the alpha stickers.

Thank you so much for looking at my creations and don’t forget that most of these products are available from the shop.

Warmest Wishes Anita x

A Little bit of Lemoncraft

Hello :) I thought I would share a layout that i have made using some gorgeous papers by a company called Lemoncraft. They have released some beautiful ranges and they are all very much in the shabby chic range of designs. The papers are all double sided and this presents the problem of which side to choose??? They are all gorgeous! I thought they worked well for me to scrap this photo of Chloe and a friends lovely little dog, Dylan, taken in the summer of  2014.

I used a sheet of card-stock to back the layout on and cut away a border from the paper of about 1cm.
I am a bit of a magpie and love all things of a sparkly nature, so this heart shaped dazzler was perfect for popping on the page....along with some small doilies, paper hydrangeas and flat backed crystals

I used a 12 x 12 harlequin mask to make a pattern on the page with some homemade texture paste ( made from baby powder, PVA glue and water) This smells soooo good and I always love a bit of texture and depth on my pages. Sometimes i add a bit of acrylic paint or glitter into the paste too.

I also popped some small pieces of cheesecloth onto my layout, tucking them under flowers and torn edges. Again this is another way to add some dimension, but without actually really adding any bulk.

I am looking forward to playing with some other ranges from Lemoncraft, they all look beautiful.
Thanks for looking xx

How Time Flies........

Hello There
I thought I would share a couple of layouts I have recently made using some gorgeous Kaisercraft papers from the Ma Cherie collection I have wanted to scrap these 2 photos of Dale and Lauren for some time. They were taken on 2 holidays, when we went on a day trip to Dymchurch and spent some time on the beach....infact both were taken in the same area and shows just how much the beach changed in the 6 years between the shots. I think that Dymchurch has become a lot more popular with tourists and there has been a lot of money spent on the seafront and facilities

I spray misted through some sequin waste and stamped various swirls and used a couple of sets of alpha stamps that I have had for absolutely ages and were gathering dust LOL.
One of the sheets is a mass of beautiful butterflies, so I cut several out and added some Stickles and tiny crystals. I also bent the wings up slightly.

With the left over sheets and scraps I made this 2nd layout. Oh my goodness, what an absolute hoot we had last year on a crafty weekend away. Each year I am lucky enough to go away with a group of lovely, lovely ladies for a crafting weekend and we try to find something funny to muck around with. Last year Alison took along these Face Mats.......oh my goodness what a laugh Ange and I had with them.....so I just HAD to scrap a couple of the pics

I used some more of the Ma Cherie papers and added a doily, more Stickles, some sequins and some tulle netting.

Ange, you definitely bring out the crazy in me LOL.....I wonder what laughs we will have this year?? Can't wait xx

ooooerr.... *Blows away cobwebs*

Goodness, it's almost 2 years exactly since I have been in this dusty little corner of blog land. I somehow got completely blocked out from my blog, tried all the changing of passwords etc but I think a Gremlin must have moved in......anyway, I have found a little trapdoor it would appear and I am back to try and breathe a little life back into my little blog hopefully.......bear with me.....hopefully I can remember how to do it now.......and then all I need to do is hope that someone maybe stumbles across me again.

Warmest Wishes
