Yay, its our very First Blog Candy Hop over at Scrapology!
You should have arrived here from the lovely Linda's blog , if not please return to the Scrapology blog to begin the hop and follow the trail between our DT members blogs.
To take part in the blog candy hop leave a comment, follow the blog, and then pop along to the next DT blog in the line, in this case off to the lovely Karen's blog and see the post called 'What a Hoot' to continue the trail.
This month we have lifted a sketch from a beautiful layout by Cindy Tobey
Here is my version and I have used various bits and and bobs I had in my stash, along with a few splats of paint and some lyrics, printed on transparency, from a song by Lenny Kravitz)
This is the original sketch that we worked from.
I used my triple butterly MS punch and the little doily MS punch and added some pearls and resin flowers. I also used some Glossy Accents on the toadstool and then cut some inch wide strips of paper and created a pleated border around the die cut edge at the base of the page.
The plastic doily is actually cut from some product packaging and was way to lovely to just throw away
I hope you are enjoying our first blog candy hop so far, so now you need to
pop along to Karen's blog and see what delight she has to share with you :)
Our thanks as always to Jill (Cardinal Colours) for providing our monthly scraplift prizes. Thanks this month also to Vanessa from Paper Maze for the blog Candy for this month's blog hop.
.... and we would LOVE to see you join in with the challenge and create a page from the sketch. You have plenty of time as the Challenge has four weeks till the deadline....so let's see what you can do :)
