Bring out the old!

I was blog hopping the other day and i hopped from Sarah's
and i found this fantastic blog that belongs to a hugely talented lady called Tracie
She has created the most gorgeous layout using some really old stash ( Scenic Route) after being challenged by a friend of hers to break out some old stash.
And she has thrown the challenge out to everyone else to do the same. Seeing how my mojo has been little and not very often at the mo it really inspired me to go and have a rummage through my old artbin.....and this layout is made from some of the papers i found.

The papers are from the old Cosmo Cricket collection called Jitterbug. Now I guess I must have liked them at the time that I bought them originally....but to be honest, when I first saw them yesterday again they didn't really * do it* for me LOL. Which made it even MORE of a challenge to use them. But ya know what? I really rather like them now they are chopped up a lot smaller and inked.

I used an old A4 thick manilla type envelope to punch out and die cut somebutterflies and added some crystal beads, some Sassafrass and AC thickers letters for the title...oh yes and a little wooden flower.

the photo is Chloe and her cousin, Holly...taken at the playpark end of last summer.

Thanks for challenge Tracie :)

Warmest wishes Anita..xxx

  1. Great layout I'm on a stash diet at the moment so will be trying to use up some of my older stuff instead of always reaching for the brand new things.

To be honest as I never keep up with what is the latest brand/range I am often clueless when I look at other people's layouts as to whether they have used the latest thing or an old range LOL!!

  2. What a great idea, we could probably all do with using up old stash. You were brave to use papers that didn't appeal, and it paid off and made a great layout of that cheeky pair.
