And on the 1st day.....she created......

a card!!! AND and layout!!! Yes, I have actually scrapped! I can't believe it, its been ages since I created a layout..... and I have done nearly 2! There must be something in the air lol.

This is a card I made out of a few scraps I had in a bag ( please excuse the fact that one of the butterfly's antennnae is tucked inside the card...ooops!) Its a Thank You card that we are going to send to a friend of mine who kindly sent the girls some money for Christmas.

This layout ( and the one I still need to finish) were made using 3 sheets of Scenic Route paper, I LOVE Scenic Route and am totally and utterly gutted that they are no more, such a shame and a real loss to the scrapping world. Its based on a 12 x 12 sheet of acetate and with the papers being double sided too it seems to go further.

I love this photo of my 2 girlies when they were younger, sooo cheeky and cute. Those were the days when they were happy to have a hug and be nice to each other lol, those were the days eh!

Hopefully I will get chance to use the left overs and finish the other layout....watch this space!

I hope you have all had a lovely New Years Day....have you done anything special?..xxx

  1. Lovley card and layout Anita, you have been busy. What a super special photo of your two lovely girls.

I know what you mean about Scenic Route, thought they were really popular and I love all their paper ranges. Such a loss.
    Happy New Year.

  3. Ooh gorgeous card and LO! I am determined to get some Anita style onto my pages. I like the little rolled up bits on the left of the photo. I'm going to call that a "tombola border" and I may use that myself sometime!

    Thanks for the inspiration!

  4. Hiya Sy :). LOL at the tombola border name, I shall have to remember that one. I didn't invent that look, I have seen it done on lots of other people layouts and really liked the look of it so thought I would try it.

  5. Sy strikes another unique name for something lol

A lovely card once again (I have a similar/same die and embossing folder from Santa) :) The layout is really gorgeous, when I have a moment can I lift it (or the theory of it) at sometime?
